MIPA is a performing arts school based in Wombourne for young people. We offer Musical theatre classes for different ages, regular performance opportunities, Professional workshops, career pathways in the arts, and private singing and acting tuition with LAMDA pathways.

MAIA HILL, Creative director & Musical theatre teacher

Maia graduated from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where she studied BA Applied theatre (community and education). During her time at University, she worked extensively in schools and community settings and found a deep passion for working with young people. She then Interned at a stage school in the Czech Republic (Prague Youth Theatre) and knew that opening her own stage school was exactly what she wanted to do! Maia has worked as a musical theatre teacher, head of LAMDA exams for performing arts schools, a project and events consultant for companies, and company manager of an international stage school. Maia is so excited to be running her own school and wants MIPA to be an engaging and fun place for all young people to learn and develop new skills, gaining confidence and making new friends!

MEGAN BAUGH, Musical theatre assistant

Megan is a passionate performer and musical theatre teacher with a strong background in singing, acting and live performance. She holds a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Musical Theatre with DDD* and a Grade 8 qualification in Classical Singing. With experience performing on stage, in live shows and immersive environments, Megan is passionate about helping young people develop their confidence, creativity and performance skills. She aims to create a fun and supportive environment where every child feels encouraged to express themselves, build self-belief and grow as a performer.

DANNY STEEL, General teaching assistant and Drama project teacher

Danny is currently studying a BA in theatre at The Royal Birmingham conservatoire and has a level 3 in performing arts at Distinction. Danny has always loved performing and enjoys using comedy within drama and therefore believes in creating a fun and silly environment for young people to learn. Danny has credits in shows such as Peter Panto as Dame Nanny Mcfen, Jekyll and Hyde as doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde and Romeo and Juliet as Friar Lawrence. Danny is so excited to be able to inspire young actors through drama and create high energy sessions!
